Meursault Cuvée "Tête de Murger" 2008, Patrick Javillier

According to the Patrick Javillier website, this special Meursault Cuvée is produced from a blend of two Meursault lieux dits: Les Casse-Têtes (from the Puligny side of Meursault) and Les Murgers (from the Volnay side). This special Meursault Cuvée has a nose of white flowers (acacia), on the palate it is thick and lemony. Mouth-filling, really long, excellent minerality with a fresh salinity and crushed apple on the finish. Another proof point for the potential of 2008 whites: ripe fruit, minerality and balance. Photo shows dawn in Meursault in February 2008.
