Bourgogne Blanc 2008, Domaine Hubert Lamy

Pale, silvery yellow and crystal clear. This Bourgogne Blanc from the tricky 2008 vintage has a faint citrus fruit nose which evolves into ripe apple. Convincingly broad on the palate, pear and apple flavours with a buttery impact on the finish. Pleasant fruit richness with good minerality. Another early sign that 2008 could well be an interesting vintage in chardonnay. Tasted in Puligny. Image shows apples in Glastonbury Abbey, Gloucestershire.
